Back in 2009, we had a dvd series called The Life You've Always Wanted by John Ortberg. I don't remember much from the series, but I do remember the term "Dee-Dah-Day."
A dee-dah-day for me is when I can spend time making a project in my woodshop , making a few pies or homemade candy in the kitchen, going for a Jeep ride in the woods, walking around a park, taking a motorcycle/scooter ride with my kids, etc.
I try to incorporate some dee-dah moments into my life as often as possible. Hopefully you can too.
The Life You've Always Wanted description:
"The heart of Christianity is transformation---a relationship with God
that impacts not just our "spiritual lives," but every aspect of living.
John Ortberg calls you back to the dynamic heartbeat of
Christianity --- God's power to bring change and growth --- and reveals both
the how and why of transformation.
With a new chapter on prayer and added discussion questions, this expanded edition of The Life You've Always Wanted offers modern perspectives on the ancient path of the spiritual disciplines. But this is more than just a book about things to do to be a good Christian. It's a road map toward true transformation that starts not with the individual but with the object of the journey --- Jesus Christ."
