Steam Train Time

We enjoyed on our 2nd annual Minersville Steam Train Project 113 ride.

We've had the same Porter for 2 years in a row.  He is always smiling and pleasant towards all passengers.

The Replogles: My Spiritual Heroes

Posted on March 24th 2014 at 06:21 PM Permalink

Today, I found a post-card from Sister-in-the-Lord Emilie Replogle, December 2000:

If there is Light in the Soul, There will be Beauty in the Person.

If there is Beauty in the Person, There will be Harmony in the Home.

If there is Harmony in the Home, There will be Order in the Nation.

If there is Order in the Nation, There will be Peace in the World.

Doing very well.  Love, Prayers & Praises,

Sr. Emilie Replogle

I would stop in for a sandwich and godly fellowship.  Took this photo approx 1990.

Triangle & Fireball

Posted on May 27th 2013 at 05:34 AM Permalink

After our CHC house-church service last night, a few of us went out to view the Mercury, Venus, Jupiter triangle.

It was so low on the horizon we needed to drive up to the Minersville airport to view it.

On the way to the airport, Holly viewed a very large fireball in the sky at approx. 9:15pm while driving through Llewellyn.

From Scroll Publishing:  "Probably no scene from The Martyrs Mirror is quite as memorable as that of Dirk Willems turning to save the life of the drowning deputy who had been sent to arrest him. Despite his act of Christian love, the Catholic authorities still ordered the deputy to arrest Dirk, who they later burned at the stake. Yet, in the end, Dirk Willems has outlived his executioners."
