Happy 80th Birthday to my mom
My mom is 80 years old, and still enjoying life to the full.
Happy Birthday!!
Celebrating April 8th
Even though we are sheltering-in-place, I have a lot to keep me busy. Today was haircut day in the barn, we went to Tonys to get a few hoagies and pizza, dropped off a hoagie to my mom, mailed the spring-time house taxes -- haha -- oh that reminds me of the old quote: Nothing is certain except death and taxes.
My wife has chosen to live separately, and I accept her decision. True love sets someone free if that's their desire -- and true love also forgives and is willing to reconcile. Whether my wife chooses to take the pathway back home or not, I'll continue to live a great life in the Lord.
Psalm 100
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness: come before his presence with singing.
Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Here are a few photos from today:
The King Is Coming
My mom and dad sang this song many times. My dad is in heaven cheering us on to make heaven our home too!! Let's be ready for King Jesus!!
The King Is Coming
The marketplace is empty No more traffic in the streets
All the builders' tools are silent No more time to harvest wheat
Busy housewives cease their labors In the courtroom no debate
Work on earth is all suspended As the King comes thro' the gate
O the King is coming The King is coming
I just heard the trumpets sounding And now His face I see
O the King is coming The King is coming
Praise God, He's coming for me
Happy faces line the hallways Those whose lives have been redeemed
Broken homes that He has mended Those from prison He has freed
Little children and the aged Hand in hand stand all aglow
Who were crippled, broken, ruined Clad in garments white as snow
I can hear the chariots rumble I can see the marching throng
The flurry of God's trumpets Spells the end of sin and wrong
Regal robes are now unfolding Heaven's grandstand's all in place
Heaven's choir now assembled Start to sing "Amazing Grace"
In Times Like These hymn
In times like these you need a Savior
In times like these you need an anchor
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
This Rock is Jesus, Yes He's the One
This Rock is Jesus, the only One
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
In times like these you need the Bible
In times like these O be not idle
Be very sure, be very sure
Your anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
In times like these I have a Savior
In times like these I have an anchor
I'm very sure, I'm very sure
My anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock
In the year 1943, Ruth Caye Jones, a pastor’s wife in Pennsylvania and the mother of five, was distressed by the headlines of her Pittsburgh newspaper. She saw the World War II causality lists and she knew the Allies were making slow progress through the boot of Italy. Supplies were rationed at home, and everyone was living under incredible strain.
Opening her Bible to 2 Timothy 3, Ruth studied the page and pondered the opening words. But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come. A song began composing itself in her mind. She jotted some lyrics on a small pad in her apron pocket. A series of notes also played in her mind. Only later did she realize they came from the old clock on the mantle with its iconic Westminster Chimes. Soon the notes and music congealed to become one of the most beloved Gospel songs of the 1940s and 1950s, “In Times Like These.”
Cheese Steak Day
March 24th is National Cheese Steak Day. I like to buy the ingredients and Philadelphia Amoroso's rolls but 2nd best is just buying the hoagies from Tony's here in Minersville. They get an Amoroso's delivery every day -- without that roll, I'd rather have something else. :-)
Happy 26th Birthday Jake
We celebrated Jakes 26th Birthday!! Pete said "Jake, you're an old man now" haha. Stromboli from DiMaggios and a chocolate cake from Giant with whipped icing. We are truly blessed.
26 years ago, it was a Sunday --My mom and dad watched Jill, while Judy and I went to the brand new maternity ward in the Warminster, PA hospital. We had the whole floor to ourselves. Our mid-wife Ann Lynn Jaspan allowed me to cut the umbilical cord. I was a pro now, because this was my 2nd one!!
Look in the mirror -- you can see Judy and Jill. This was Jake getting a haircut in Kensington -- Philadelphia.
Trusting in the Lord
We all face tough times. Just open a hymn book and you'll read many songs that were written during seasons of trials and tribulations.
The trials often bring tears and loss. But through it all, we can still trust the Lord Jesus to give us strength to endure until the end.
Be encouraged today!! God is still on the throne!!
Happy 18th Birthday Mark
Happy Birthday to Mark -- wow -- 18 today!!
Happy New Year 2020
Another calendar year gone by and another year is underway -- makes me think of that old song written by Mosie Lister in 1970 -- While The Ages Roll

Plenty of Time song
My wife Judy taught me this song way back in 1988. I remember we actually sang it while she played the piano. Oh wow -- I have so many neat memories!! This is a sad song, but the song does not have to be a reality for us, because the Bible promises forgiveness for anyone that truly repents.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I John 1:9
By The Galileans 1973 (Youtube)
I Samuel 30:6
.......but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
Song: You're the Only Jesus
You're the Only Jesus Some Will Ever See
Imperials Youtube Song
If not in you, I wonder where -- Will they ever see the One who really cares?
If not from you, how will they find --There's One who heals the broken heart
And gives sight to the blind?
'Cause you're the only Jesus -- Some will ever see
And you're the only Words of Life -- Some will ever read
So let them see in you the One in whom
Is all they'll ever need
'Cause you're the only Jesus -- Some will ever see
And if not you, I wonder who -- Will show them love
And love alone can make things new?
If not from you, how will they learn -- There's One who'll trade their hopelessness
For joy in return?
'Cause you're the only Jesus -- Some will ever see
And you're the only Words of Life -- Some will ever read
So let them see in you the One in whom -- Is all they'll ever need
'Cause you're the only Jesus -- Some will ever see
So let Him shine, let Him show -- Let them see Him in you
You gotta let them know
'Cause you're the only Jesus -- Some will ever see --
And you're the only Words of Life -- Some will ever read
So let them see in you the One in whom -- Is all they'll ever need
'Cause you're the only Jesus -- You're the only Jesus
Some will ever see
My Life Goal:
My Life Goal is to finish MY course that God has given me to run. By God's help --- I will never give up, I will keep the faith. PTL.
II Timothy 4:7-8
7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
